Easter in the Northwoods
This past weekend we set up our Easter display. The Easter Bunny welcomes you to the northwoods. The eggs on the wreath I cut out of wood with my new scroll saw. I was also busy making Easter cards with my new cricut cartridge, Animal Kingdom. I know Easter is just around the corner, however it snowed all day. I am looking forward to warm sunny days.

Updates to the Walls
I painted the hallway another shade of green and it reminded me of green apples. I added a picture to the big bare dark green wall. We bought this picture 39 years ago when I worked at Target in Milwaukee. The price tag was still on the back - $9.88. I painted the frame black to cover up the nicks. I always loved this picture and I think it has found a perfect spot in the cabin.
Baxter & the Squirrels
All day long our dog, Baxter chases the many squirrels that surround our house. Baxter is now trying to out smart them. He pretends that he is sleeping on the deck and when they come to the feeder, he leaps into the air and chases them. But the squirrels are always faster and they win. By the end of the day Baxter is a very tired dog and as he sleeps I am sure he is dreaming of new ways to catch the little critters.

Fun Colors with Clay Pots
I had all these clay pots from my daughter's wedding and came up with the idea to add some color to them. I also got the idea for the clay pot plant tree from my cousin in Florida. I can't wait to plant colorful flowers in them. Will post new pictures when the flowers are blooming. Spring is just around the corner.

New Look In The Cabin
After consulting with many people as to what the colors of the walls should be in our cabin - we painted... I was a little concerned when I opened the paint can and it looked like tomato soup, however after it dried I loved it. The dining room paint looked like split pea soup and dried to the color I wanted. Next project is the hall and foyer. Paint has a way of changing the warmth and feeling in your home.

On a recent trip to Maine to visit my daughter I organized her disaster of a pantry.
